Processing photos are my favorite. Sydney’s hands are steady and so artistic.

Hair should only be clarified if there is exposure to chlorine or other product build up.

Using a shampoo and conditioner of lesser quality can quickly coat the hair with mineral oils and petroleum resulting in heavier feeling hair (which in turn makes one think they need to shampoo everyday) clarifying will strip off old product and pool chemicals. With the right product mix and shampooing schedule (washing right after leaving the pool) clarification should be done twice a year. Otherwise once a month is a good regimen to follow. The gloss girls are giving away complementary clarification treatments in the month of August when booking a color or haircut with our stylists. Get clean!

our guest’s favorite part of the glossary, back-lit beauty mirrors placed in front of windows. you don’t know what pretty is until sitting in front of one of these mirrors.

What is the difference between moisture and repair, and which is best for my hair??
View on Instagram
Moisture always comes before repair products in importance. The moisture level in hair directly contributes to the level of strength or proteins the hair holds on to. The less moisture the hair has the more it susceptible to breakage from heat and coloring. Moisture shampoo and conditioner with a serum on softly toweled dried hair is the best way to go if your hair needs some love. If your hair is fine, mix a moisturizing shampoo with a repair conditioner to balance the product weight. Repair products tend to be less heavy. Happy shampooing!
