NBR™ CERTIFIED ARTIST / COLORIST / LEVEL III
WHEN DID YOU BECOME A STYLIST?
I started my hair career in 2004. After toying with the options of a 4 year degree, I decided that my creative free side would most likely be suited for a creative trade. I thought highly of trades because they are straightforward and I could embrace the skill fully to my standards and create my own lifestyle. So I picked hair!
While growing my clientele, I completed my 4 year degree at UMKC in Business with an Entrepreneur emphasis.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR APPROACH AS A STYLIST?
I am a certified NBR hair extension artist since 2016. Working with the NBR company, I have broadened my love for hair extensions and am completely mesmerized by the impact it makes on my client’s lifestyle.
The impact of hair restoration made me place traditional cuts and colors to the side in 2018.
Now, I am a full time hair extension artist that invests in my education and complete attention to helping women restore their hair back to the fullness and thickness they desire and deserve!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT NBR HAIR EXTENSIONS?
SO MANY! I was drawn in by the culture of the NBR company first. The creator Danielle White had an approach to Marketing and solving problems I had never seen.
This lead me to research her hair extension method.
What Danielle, the creator of NBR, had done, is to solve all the problems of traditional hair extensions methods (such as single bonds and tape) and created a very customized, comfortable, ponytail friendly, and completely hidden extension method. She is the lady behind the movement we are all experiencing with weft extensions.
WHAT SETS YOU APART FROM OTHER EXTENSIONS ARTISTS IN THE KANSAS CITY AREA?
What sets the NBR company apart is their training and education. I choose to continue and invest in my education because hair extensions are hard.
What sets me apart from other artists in the area, are the coloring techniques I use on my client’s hair—but MAINLY (and most importantly) the techniques I use on the extension hair to exactly mirror the client’s hair color.
We find, if the extension hair is not on point- it’s a dead give away there are extensions….
My team and I choose to focus all our efforts at your first appointment, and at each follow up appointment every 6-8 weeks, on your extension’s hair color. It is massively important to us.
